MOOREA Island best Places for Hooney moon

Moorea Island is a high island in French Polynesia, also known as “Tahiti-iti” meaning the little fish of Tahiti. Moorea means “yellow lizard” in Tahitian. An older name for the island is Aimeho, sometimes spelled Aimeo or Eimeo. Early Western colonists and voyagers also referred to Moorea as York Island. Moorea is neighbor to the island of Tahiti, and the island of Bora Bora is also nearby. Romantic Moorea is a popular honeymoon destination, known for its exquisite scenery, excellent snorkeling and diving, and enchanting rain forests.

The proposed activities are mainly water sports: diving, canoe trip, discover the animals of the lagoon. Now banned inside the lagoon, but a core business is the challenge of feeding sharks (blacktip sharks, lemon sharks, gray reef sharks). The coral reef surrounding the island is approximately half to three quarters of a mile off shore and offers a number of openings to pass through. The beautiful, clear waters of the Lagoon provide excellent snorkeling, diving and other water sports.
